The story of 1592 began in Montreal, where Edward Zaki and Alexandre Gosselin built a lasting friendship and culinary partnership dedicated to modern dining. With more than 25 years of combined expertise, they expanded their vision to Sarasota, bringing with them a passion for bold flavors and thoughtful hospitality.

Mila Aguiar, Co-owner and General Manager, infuses the restaurant with a personal touch drawn from years in the hotel and service industry. Chef Johnny Zaki, known for his success in Montreal’s bustling food scene, now brings his creativity to Sarasota as part of the 1592 team.
